GMR&SC ‘Race of Champions’ Meet…Graham happy to be back, but looking forward to Sunday’s challenge
Canadian speedster Kevin Graham, who will be competing in Sunday’s Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) ‘Race of Champions’ Meet, at the South Dakota Circuit in an interview with Kaieteur Sport said he is happy to be back in Guyana and is eager to take on the locals.
Graham, who has been coming to Guyana and the Caribbean to race for a number of years, was speaking at Continental Agencies Ltd in Industrial Site where his Yamaha R6 is usually kept until he returns to race.
Sponsored by Sunburst Orange Juice, Graham said he is here to give the local fans a special treat, but more importantly to enjoy the sunshine and have some fun.
“I love Guyana and have some fond memories of riding here and come Sunday I will be doing my utmost to ensure that the fans are thrilled by our performances during the anticipated keen rivalry.”
Commenting on his bike, the Canadian informed that it was in good shape since he last rode it in November and had the opportunity to get some valuable practice yesterday and everything seems to be working fine.
According to him, the emphasis is to put on a show for the Guyanese fans so he is hoping that competitors like local champion Stephen ‘Valentino Rossi’, Joel Neblett and Gregory Lopes are at their best so that the they could provide the kind of entertainment that fans love to see.
Graham extended thanks to the management and staff of sponsor Continental Agencies for their unwavering support over the years and promised to provide a riveting show in appreciation.
The first race starts at 09:00 hrs and price of admission is $1500 for adults, while children and vehicles are free.
