Digicel sponsors feature race at Budhan’s Memorial Turf Club one day horserace meet
Over 50 horses entered for event
Digicel is the sponsor for the main event on the Budhan’s Memorial Turf Club and Sports Complex one day horserace meeting, even as over 50 racehorses have been entered to compete in the action set for tomorrow at their Number 66 Village, Corentyne, Berbice track.
Telecommunications giant Digicel will sponsor the ‘I’ Class and Lower event over a distance of 1 mile, where the winner receives $150,000.
Other races to whet the appetites of Turfites include the J and lower and the L and lower class events. Then there are the Unclassified Group A and B along with two other exciting events.
Action gets underway at 13:00hrs. One of the newest tracks operating in the country of recent, the track is said to be in very good condition and turfites are expected to experience an entertaining day of racing.
Among the horses entered for tomorrow’s competition are She is Royal, Kevin, Princess Renuka, Black Trick, Sporting Time, Try Again, Royal Intention, Miami Vice, The Gump, Silver Kid and Miracle Silver.
Other sponsors partnering Digicel for this meet include Ansa McAl, Mohamed Rahim and Sons, Jumbo Jet Auto Sales and Bobby’s lumber Yard.
Popular musical entertainment will accompany the on the track entertainment. The new starting gates will be used at the venue.
