Trophy Stall female cricket team emerged champion after defeating 4R Lioness by five wickets with ten deliveries to spare when the Lions Club of Bel Air hosted a fund-raiser Day of Sports last Sunday, at the Carifesta Sports Complex, Georgetown.
4R Lioness batted first and scored a challenging 89-5 at the expiration of the 10 overs with national cricketer Tracy Glasgow hitting a top-score of 52.

Toshanna Isaacs grabbed 2-11 from her allotted two overs.
Trophy Stall lasses in reply, comfortably reached 90-5 with Jenell Nero, the principal contributor with 21, while Roshana Azeeze chipped in with 18.
Nero was later named player-of-the-match and she received $5,000 and a trophy, while she also copped the best batter prize of $5,000 and a trophy.
The Best bowler on the victorious side was Isaacs, who pocketed $5,000 for her effort. Trophy Stall took home $75,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up collected $50,000 and a trophy. Third-place team Well Woman received $25,000.
All funds accrued from the event will go towards the Needy and underprivileged children.
Meanwhile, Director of Sport Neil Kumar was on hand to witness the final and congratulate the winners.
