Jason Mohamed was never a West Indies Under-19 Cricket captain
Dear Editor,
Please allow me to correct a Caribbean Media Corporation story headlined ‘Ganga brothers among runs in North/South classic’.
In the third paragraph of the story it was mentioned that Jason Mohamed who scored 52 in that encounter was a former West Indies Under-19 Captain.
For the records Mohamed was Guyanese Leon Johnson’s Deputy at the sixth ICC Youth World Cup in Sri Lanka (2006).
The only Trinidadians who had the distinct honour of captaining the West Indies at the Under-19 level are:
Dudnath Ramkesson 1970 to the United Kingdom.
Colin Murray 1974 to the United Kingdom.
Brian Lara the Inaugural ICC Youth World Cup 1988 Australia. Denesh Ramdin, Fifth ICC Youth World Cup Bangladesh.
