Kaieteur Sports – National Under-15 player Shahid Ramzan pulled out another sterling all-round performance which helped Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) crush Queen’s College by 165 runs when action in the GCA/Enline Security Logistics Inc. U17 50-over tournament this past Saturday.
GCC racked up 240 all out after Ramzan stroked a classy 58 with 3 fours, while Aaron Persaud (35), Balashankar Narine (32*) and Trilok Nanan (22), added to the total.
QC spinners Nathaniel Sukhnandan (3-32) and Afraz Ali (3-45) led the bowling with help from Nitin Bhowandat (2-34) and Shiv Piterhadaue (2-67).
Ramzan then returned to bag 4-11 which stifled Queen’s College for a paltry 75 runs, as medium-pacer Dilshan Ganesh and off-spinner Ravaldo Pereira shared 5 wickets between them in support of Ramzan.
Action is set to continue this weekend.
