The 2009 Kool Kidz Inter-Secondary Schools Twenty/20 cricket starts tomorrow at several venues across Region Six. The tournament has been organised by the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) and sponsored by the Guyana Beverage Company with the aim of promoting sports as an alternative to a life on the streets. Defending Champions Corentyne Comprehensive Secondary School will start their defence against JC Chandisingh Secondary at the Port Mourant Cricket Ground.
Other matches to be played are: – Skeldon High School vs. Line Path Secondary at Scotsburg Ground; Tagore Secondary vs. Central Corentyne Secondary at Tagore; Black Bush Polder Secondary vs. Winifred Gaskin Secondary at Bush Lot Farm; Port Mourant Secondary School vs. Lower Corentyne at Area “H” ground; Canje Secondary School vs. Vryman’s Erven Secondary at Cumberland; Berbice high School vs. Tutorial Academy at Berbice High School Ground; New Amsterdam Secondary School vs. Berbice Educational Institute at Canje, Welfare Ground. All matches start at 14.00 hours.
