Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Police Force (GPF) Officers cricket team recently received a set of uniforms. The uniforms were presented by former Guyana and West Indies cricketer and owner of Leading Edge Sports, Christopher Barnwell.
The uniforms are expected to be used by the Officers in the upcoming Commissioner’s T20 Cricket Final on a date to be announced.
The uniforms were handed over to Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’ Ravindradat Budhram, who is also the Captain of the Officers’ cricket Team, which took place at Eve Leary.

Also present at the handover were Superintendent Ronald Alli, Vice-Captain of the Officers’ Team, and Police Cricket Coach Mr. Joel Alleyne.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Barnwell stated that the contribution was made in recognition of the Officers’ Team’s role in promoting cricket within the GPF. He also acknowledged the team’s continued support of Leading Edge Sports.
In response, Budhram expressed sincere appreciation to Barnwell and his company Leading Edge Sports, for the timely support. He said the gesture will serve as a source of motivation for the players as they look ahead to the final.
The Commissioner’s T20 Cricket Final will see the Officers’ Team facing Headquarters in what is expected to be a competitive and spirited contest between the tournament’s top two teams.
