Fashion and basketball set for Sports Hall

–Pacesetters, Ravens clash to headline show

Fashion and sport enthusiast are expected to converge at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Sunday when Accomplished Entertainment stages its Miss Accomplished Fashion Show and 20/20 Basketball Competition.

The event is expected to renew a long standing rivalry between Georgetown’s best first division teams: Courts Pacesetters and Dyna’s Ravens, while treating patrons to a dazzling female fashion display.

The concept also includes a Linden versus Georgetown female game and 20/20 contest, which will be introduced for the first time. The first person to score 20 points in this competition gets a trophy and a voucher.

The winner of the feature male game will collect $100,000 and trophy while the females get $50,000 and trophy in winner–takes–all games. The night’s activities are expected to commence at 7pm at the premier venue.

“We never had this concept before. We just wanted to try something different,” an Executive of Accomplished Entertainment told Kaieteur Sport yesterday, adding that the event is expected to be an annual fixture.

The official said that prizes will be given out in the fashion display for the best smile, the best personality, the best display, best sports wear and miss photogenic among other prizes in various categories.

The event will also feature a guest model, well stocked bars, tight security arrangements and three sound systems in the likes of Slingerz, Fusion Audio and Stereo Sonic. (Edison Jefford)
