Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Under-14 Boys have secured their place in the semi-finals of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-14 Challenge Series following an impressive unbeaten run in the Group C, Tier II category.
The squad completed the group stage with three consecutive victories, demonstrating both their attacking and defensive qualities, resilience and determination throughout the competition. Their performances have earned them a place in the semi-final round, which is scheduled for Friday, August 21, as they continue their campaign in the Dominican Republic.
Guyana defeated the Bahamas 1-0 in their latest match yesterday, with Wayshawn Forde netting the winner in the 65th minute.
Across the three group-stage matches, Guyana scored 13 goals while conceding just two, highlighting the team’s attacking efficiency and defensive organisation. Forde emerged as a key contributor in front of the goal, while Vasconcellos also made a significant impact with four goals across the opening two matches.
