Kaieteur Sports – Play in the 2026 edition of the Ministry of Culture Youth & Sport National Sports Commission Janet Jagan Memorial Female Windball Cricket and the Cheddi Jagan Male champions trophy tournament, which commenced with the Georgetown Zone, continued at the National Gymnasium. The tournament is organized by MCYS and NSC Sports Office A. Munroe.
In the Female section, Saint Stanislaus College made a return to the sport after more than twenty years. They batted first and scored an opening partnership of 112, with Deondra Benjamin hitting (4s x12 & 6s x 6) in her 87 and Darshina Lalbeharry 26.

Saint Roses High School scored 66-1 with Tanuja Singh 32, Rhea Sookhal 26. Tucville Secondary replied with 43-4, Arlene Singh 12. Madhu Singh took 2wkts.
CPCE hit 137-1, Deena Fredericks 66 (6s x 10) and Latoya Williams 26. Houston Secondary in their first tournament made 85 in reply.
Among the Males, defending champions Saint Roses High School batted first and scored 97-1, with Noel Madramotoo and Samir Rasool each scoring 34 runs apiece and Ezekiel Ramnauth 24.
Charlestown Government Secondary School replied with 56-4. Derick Hing took 2-wkts.
CPCE after elected to bat made 71-0, Elon Bloomheart slammed 65, (6s x 9). Houston Secondary School 56 -1 in reply.
Saint Stanislaus College made 74-0 with Ishan Haricharan 51 (6s x5) and Tessie Craig 19.
Brickdam Secondary School responded with 75-1, Prosper Jacobs 34 and Abiel Maynard 12.
Meanwhile, the action moves to Region 6 with the Canje- New Amsterdam zone in Canje at the Welfare Centre Ground from 9:30am.
Schools in action are defending Champion Male Berbice High School, Canje Secondary, Tutorial Academy Secondary, Berbice Educational Institute, Vryman’s Erven Secondary & defending (Champion female) New Amsterdam Multilateral School.
