3 New Black Belt promotions as ASK-G holds 2026 Karate Grading Examinations

Kaieteur Sports – On Sunday 15th March, 2026 at the YMCA Thomas Lands, head of the IKD, Shuseki Shihan Dr. Frank Woon-A-Tai, 10th Dan, assisted by Shihan Amir Khouri 8thDan, Sensei Hazrat Ali 6th Dan & Sensei Parmeshwar Persaud 5th Dan examined students for Kyu & Dan levels.

The exams started at 10.00hrs and concluded at 13.00hrs.

Congratulations are extended to all the students, kudos to those who skipped and the New Dan Ranks.

A large number of Parents and supporters were on hand to witness their children & friends, performing for the examiner.

Training continues at the ASK-G Dojos- Land of Canaan Dojo (Sensei Parmeshwar Persaud): Albion, Canjie, Rosehall Dojos (Sensei Hazrat Ali): New Amsterdam Berbice DoJo (Sensei Clinton Moriah): and HQ YMCA Thomas Lands Dojo (Shihan Amir Khouri & Sensei Leonard Leuwaisee).

Preparations are ongoing for the 2026 IKD Master Camp fixed for June in Canada.

8th kyu to Orange belt 7th kyu – Michael Jairam, Xanya Luke, Daud Simon, Cairon Simpson & Kavi Ramnaraine

8th kyu to Green belt 6th kyu – Ronaldo Payne, Gianna Browne & Alonzo Simon

7th kyu to Green belt 6th kyu – Romero Fredericks, Azariah Khargu & Eshani Mohabir

7th kyu to Blue belt 5th kyu – Liam Sampson

6th kyu to Blue belt 5th kyu – Shrawan Singh, Lavesh Singh, David McEwan, Jonathan Reid, Sadeeq Duncan & Katheryne Haly

5th kyu to Purple belt 4th kyu – Dezion Sears, Shevelia Moore & Makeda Caldeira

5th kyu to Brown belt 3rd kyu – Danny Savory, Nailah lewis, Keifer Rodney, Kimberly Haly & Mariah Persaud

4th kyu to Brown belt 3rd kyu – Marquis Ferreira & Alvita Forrester

3rd kyu to Brown belt 2nd kyu – Runako Delph, Afeerah Ali & Kristian Richards

3rd kyu to Brown belt 1st kyu – Evon Rose

2nd kyu to Brown belt 1st kyu – Radane Bissessar & Nathan Henry
