Kaieteur Sports – Telecommunications provider Enet has reaffirmed its commitment to community sports development, lending support to upcoming Hamilton Green Cup, which is slated to kick off on March 1 at the Plaisance Ground.
The highly anticipated tournament will feature 32 teams battling for supremacy in what is expected to be a thrilling showcase of Inter Ward/Village Knockout Football. Enet’s sponsorship covers the third-place prize along with the corresponding trophy, further enhancing the competitive incentives for participating teams.
At the simple but meaningful presentation ceremony held on Friday, Enet’s representative Ulex Dorris emphasized the company’s dedication to empowering communities through sport.

Supporting the third-place prize is our way of ensuring that teams are rewarded for their hard work and perseverance, even beyond the championship spotlight.”
Tournament coordinator Lennox Arthur expressed gratitude for Enet’s timely support, noting that partnerships of this nature are critical to the tournament’s continued growth.
“We are extremely thankful to Enet for stepping forward to support this initiative,” Arthur said. “The Hamilton Green Cup has grown into one of the marquee community nine-a-side football tournament, and having corporate partners who understand the vision makes all the difference. The third-place prize and trophy add prestige and motivation for the teams competing.”
Arthur further highlighted that with 32 teams confirmed, fans can expect intense competition from the opening whistle on March 1. “The excitement is already building. We anticipate large turnouts at the Plaisance Ground, and this year’s edition promises high-quality football and unforgettable moments.”
Action tips off on Sunday March 1 at 6:00 pm with eight thrilling encounters.In the opening match Pele will take on Eagles, followed by Herstelling versus Beavers, Soesdyke versus Zeeburg in match #3. Timehri United will also face off with Uitvlugt, Plaisance will tackle Wales, Buxton Stars will also some up against Coverden, and to close the evening Buxton United will matchup with No.1 All Stars before Victoria takes on Park Squad Ballers in match #8.
