Kaieteur Sports – The Better Hope Community Centre Ground will come alive on Sunday as softball cricketers from around Guyana will take to the field from 9am in the national playoffs of the 2nd edition of the “One Guyana Inter-Region Ten10 Softball Cricket Cup”.
Top regional winning teams in both male and female categories across the country will battle for supremacy, as the day’s event is set to feature exciting softball cricket, with players taking show casing their skills and talents in the game.
The male winning team will walk away with $1,000,000 and the winning Trophy, while the runner-up team is going to take home cash and a trophy. Prizes will also be awarded to the MVP, Best Bowler, and Batsman for the day and Man of the Final.
While in the female category, the winner will walk away with $300,000 and the winning trophy, the runner-up will receive cash and a trophy. Prizes will also be awarded to the MVP, Best Bowler, and Batsman for the day and Man of the Final.
According to the organisers, the finals in both categories will be played under lights, while spectators can look forward to the best of entertainment off the field with lots of games and side attractions for the kids.
There will be a well-stocked beverage bar and BBQ on sale, music will be provided by Earth Storm Sound System, and admission into the venue is free.
The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Hon. Charles Ramson M.P., along with other senior officials and sponsors, will be gracing the event.
RS Sports is encouraging cricket fans to come out and witness top softball action in this “One Guyana Inter-Region Ten10 Softball Cricket Cup” Playoffs, which is the country’s biggest softball cricket competition.
