Reliance Hustlers crowned NECC/Jairam Bissessar T20 champion
Kaieteur Sports – Reliance Hustlers was crowned the 2026 North Essequibo Cricket Committee (NECC)/Jairam Bissessar T20 champion after beating IIS Challengers by four wickets last Sunday at Joe Jagmohan ground, Hampton Court, Essequibo Coast, Region 2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
IIS Challengers took first strike at the invitation of Reliance Hustlers but only made 115 all out in the penultimate over.

Hustlers reached the target with five balls to spare.
Their effort was spearheaded by national player Neiland Cadogan with 3-10 from 2.2 overs and an unbeaten 17.
Eknauth Persaud top-scored for Reliance Hustlers with a responsible, unbeaten 38 which contained four fours.
Seamer Seon Ventura was the most successful bowler for IIS Challengers with 3-25 from his maximum four overs on a responsive pitch.
Earlier, Trivel Evans struck 42 for the runners-up side and got support from Gladwin Henry who made 23.
At the post-match presentation ceremony, the victorious team received $140,000, a trophy and a Ram Sheep.
IIS Challengers got $70,000 and a Trophy.
Cadogan was named player-of-the-match for his outstanding, bowling effort.
Mark Austin from Reliance Hustlers took home the best batsman trophy after tallying up the most runs (223) in the 11-team competition.
His team-mate and fast-bowler Ryan Shivamber collected the prize for the grabbing the most wickets (12) in the tournament.
Meanwhile, skipper of Reliance Hustlers Travis Simon congratulated his boys and stated that they played unbeaten throughout the tournament.
Simon also mentioned Reliance Hustlers team was eager to lift the trophy and the success attributed to total team’s work.
