CWI, Republic Bank Five for Fun Festivals finale to be hosted today at Bourda
Kaieteur Sports – Cricket West Indies (CWI) and Republic Bank will be hosting the National Festivals Finals and Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Five for Fun Cricket program for Guyana today, November 15, at the Bourda Cricket Ground.
The program, which was launched a few years across a few West Indies territories, is geared towards introducing the game of cricket to youngsters, primarily aged between years 8-12.

Students follow a module which is set to encourage and train youths, boys and girls, in the fundamentals of the game.
Teamwork, batting, bowling, fielding as well as the mental approach to the game encompasses the core of the program, which is taught via a simplified yet fast-paced method.
Games are played between a 5-player team as youngsters are given a professional leap from an early stage, thanks to the personal growth and confidence which are key factors in creating a professional cricketer.
As such, Guyana will recognise its step amongst the other nations by recognizing its wealth in the youth fraternity of cricket by hosting today’s ceremony which is expected to be well-attended when proceedings commence from 9:00h.
