Kaieteur Sports – In keeping with its promise to support community and sports development, Guyana Beverage Inc. (GBI), in collaboration with title sponsor Republic Bank Limited (RBL), has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to youth football with the rollout of the second phase of the 2025 sponsorship package for the RBL Under-18 Schools Football League (RBL U18 SFL).
Continuing its proud tradition of backing youth sports in Guyana, GBI hosted the official uniform presentation ceremony for the eight participating schools on Sunday at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Ground, coinciding with the league’s Round Two matches.
The presentation marked yet another milestone in the enduring Busta-Republic Bank partnership with the Petra Organisation, reaffirming the shared goal of nurturing young talent and promoting football as a platform for education, discipline, and community building.
The schools receiving uniforms for the 2025 season were: Chase’s Academic Foundation, Charlestown Secondary, West Ruimveldt Secondary, Abram Zuil Secondary, Dolphin Secondary, President’s College, and Three Mile Secondary.
During the ceremony, GBI officials were on hand to assist with the uniform distribution. Speaking at the event, GBI representative Colin Higgins commended the players, coaches, and organisers for their continued dedication to the sport. He reiterated GBI’s belief that initiatives such as the Petra Under-18 Schools Football League play a vital role in fostering not only athletic excellence but also teamwork, leadership, and community pride among Guyana’s youth.
Representatives from the Petra Organisation also expressed their gratitude to Republic Bank and Guyana Beverage Inc. for their steadfast partnership and long-term investment in school football.
