Man arrested for possession of 1,182 grams of weed at Bamboo Landing
(Kaieteur News) – A 29-year-old man was arrested on Friday after he was found with 1,182 grams of cannabis in his haversack at Bamboo Landing, North West District, Region One.

Police in a press release said that the cannabis was discovered during a police operation at the location. Ranks reported that the man was “acting in a suspicious manner while carrying a haversack.”
A search was conducted during which a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis was found.
“The suspect was arrested and taken to the Matthew’s Ridge Police Station, where the suspected narcotics were weighed in his presence… The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue,” police said.
