Kaieteur Sports – Guyana managed to ward off another unwanted outcome as they drew their battle against the Trinidadians when action in the second round wrapped up Sunday evening at the Queen’s Park Oval.
Trinidad resumed on 141-6 on the final day, replying to Guyana’s 1st innings 109 all out.
They were eventually restricted to 184 all out thanks to knocks from captain Saleem Khan (35), Adan Ramsaran (30), Roberto Badree (23) and Christian Ramanan (18).
Spinners Dave Mohabir and Parmeshwar Ram collected 3 wickets apiece for Guyana, who ended on 137-8 batting a second time.
Ram (20), Ramdheol (24) and Hetmyer (25), Micah Amsterdam (17*) and Feaz Baskh (21*) helped stretch the lead to 62 before proceeding ended in a stalemate.
In other games played, Leeward Islands (238 all out and 143-5 declared), beat Windwards (74 all out and 63 all out); by 244 runs.
Barbados (211-7 dec.) beat Jamaica (68 all out and 141 all out), by an innings and 2 runs.
