Kaieteur sports – The East Bank Football Association (EBFA) proudly hosted the 2025 U-14 League, which ran from March 29 to May 26, 2025. This highly competitive tournament featured seven teams: Herstelling Raiders, Timehri United, Swan FC, Friendship All Stars, Agricola Red Triangle, Kuru Kuru, and Police Youth Club. Timehri United emerged as the champions after racking up15 points and scoring 19 goals in the process.
Tournament Overview
Over the span of 21 exciting matches, more than 100 youth players demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and sportsmanship. The tournament was characterized by energetic play, impressive goalscoring, and a display of emerging talent across all teams.
Total Goals Scored
A total of 102 goals were scored throughout the tournament, reflecting the attacking flair and enthusiasm of the young footballers.
Stand out Performers:
-Wayshawn Forde: 11 goals (Top scorer of the tournament)
Nyron Barrow: Most Valuable Player, with 9 goals
Gregory Ramascindo: 8 goals
Samuel Gaspar: 5 goals
Kerwin Chance: 4 goals
Brandon Bruce: 4 goals
The Best Goalkeeper award went to Samuel Braithwaite of Herstelling Raiders, for conceding the least number of goals and for his outstanding goalkeeping skills and key contributions in defence.
Final Standings:
The EBFA is extending sincere gratitude to Guyana Football Federation (GFF) President Wayne Forde and the Federation for enabling the tournament to be played at the National Technical Centre (NTC) and for their generous sponsorship of the trophies and medals. The EBFA also wish to thank the fans, coaches, and parents for their unwavering support of the boys and the tournament.
Their encouragement and dedication continue to motivate the young players and promote the growth of football on the East Bank.
