Kaieteur News- Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage, recorded on Monday, shows a man being robbed by two men of his bag containing valuables, as he exited his car and attempted to open the gate to his yard at Plantation Herstelling New Scheme, East Bank Demerara.
According to CCTV footage reviewed by this publication, a black vehicle was seen approaching the area before two men exited the car and attacked the victim, forcefully taking his bag containing valuables. While the contents of the bag remain unclear, the suspects were seen physically assaulting the victim by firing punches during the robbery. After seizing the bag, the suspects ran back to the waiting vehicle and fled the scene along a street in Plantation Herstelling, New Scheme. Police are investigating the matter.
