Kaieteur Sports- The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) emerged victorious in the Department of Public Communications Inter Ministries/Government Agencies Domino Competition, held last Friday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Parking Lot, lifting the Office of the Prime Minister Domino trophy.

GFS secured the coveted trophy by tallying 47 games in the final, outplaying the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), which finished with 44 games, and the Guyana Geology and Mining Corporation (GGMC), which totaled 40 games.
Ms. Tricia Leander was the standout performer for Team GFS, recording an impressive 12 games and delivering a double love in the finals, a feat that played a crucial role in securing the championship title.
The Inter-Ministries/Government domino competition was also coordinated by renowned sports organiser James “Uprising” Lewis, who ensured the smooth execution of the event.
Following the domino tournament, anticipation is building for the upcoming 11-a-side, 6-overs knockout Tapeball competition. Interested teams are encouraged to reach out to James Lewis at 628-1656 for further details on participation.
The GFS victory highlights the growing enthusiasm for domino tournaments among government agencies, showcasing not only the competitive spirit but also fostering camaraderie among ministries and public service departments.
