Kaieteur Sports – Guyanese sensational softball batsman, Patrick Rooplall, started his maiden trip in Canada with a scintillating 132 recently representing VP Boys in the 2024 Canadian Premier Softball Cricket League T20 tournament.
The Essequibian right-handed Rooplall struck 17 sixes and four fours to help VP Boys amassed a daunting 256-3 from the 20-overs against Apex Predators.
Apex Predators, in reply, reached 164-9 at the expiration of the 20-overs losing by 92 runs at Hilldale Public School ground in Brampton, Ontario.
Rooplall got good support from Morrison Edwards who made 53 while fellow Canada-based Guyanese Avish Rukhram contributed 34.
For Apex Predators, Anil Mahadeo hit a fighting 47 as former Guyana and West Indies player Royston Crandon grabbed three wickets for 26 runs from his three-over outing.
Meanwhile, in the two other games that Rooplall played, he scored 64 and 5. The action will continue May 26 with a series of matches across the Greater Toronto Area.
