A 68-run partnership between Chedean Nation and Rashada Williams and an impressive spell of fast bowling from Chinelle Henry powered Jamaica to a third consecutive victory in the CG Insurance T20 Blaze when they beat Guyana by seven wickets yesterday at Providence with 13 balls to spare.

Set 91 to win to go level with defending Champions Barbados on 12 points, Jamaica raced to 92-3 with Williams stroking six fours from 54 balls in her unbeaten 14 while Nation made 32 from 39 balls with four fours.
In Guyana’s innings of 90-6, Shabika Gajnabi with 26 not out from 30 balls with a four and Sherry-Ann Fraser, who was forced to retire hurt on 20 from 30 balls with a single boundary reached 20 as Chenille Henry had 3-13 and Corina Howell supported with 2-20.
In a game that began 15 minutes late due to some early afternoon showers, the host won the toss and opted to bat.
Katana Mentore was LBW to Henry for a duck at 1-1 before Sheneta Grimmond (0) was brilliantly taken at point by Skipper Stefanie Taylor on her 31st birthday as Henry struck again at 5-2.
When Howell got the important scalp of Captain Shemaine Campbell for 10 and removed Lashuna Toussaint (11) in the space of three runs, Guyana were 23-4 and in deep trouble.
Debutant Sherica Campbell joined Gajnabi who was looking set before another debutant, left-arm spinner Jody Browne, trapped her LBW for three at 36-5.

Sherry Ann Fraser, who got going with a glorious cover drive for four and Gajnabi, who also timed the ball well, were in the middle of ‘Operation rebuild’ when Fraser was forced to retire hurt.
Tremaine Smartt (1) provided Henry with her third wicket at 81-6 to bring Mandy Mangru to the crease and along with Gajnabi they got their team to a score which seemed 20 short of a defendable total.
When Jamaica, hunting their 8th regional title began their chase, they quickly lost Natasha McLean for a duck at 0-1 and 36-year-old Smartt celebrated her wicket with a summersault to the delight of a fair size gathering with included Sports Minister Charles Ramson and a group of young ladies from the GCA.
Smartt struck again when she removed Taylor for 10 and with Jamaica on 20-2 Guyana were back in the contest.
However, positive stroke-play from Nation and Williams carried their score to within three runs of victory before Gajnabi removed Nation then Henry ended the contest with a boundary off her first ball.
Meanwhile, In the morning game, defending Champions Barbados registered an emphatic 10-wicket victory over the Windward Islands after galloping to 89 without loss in the reply to the 86-6 made by the Windwards with Skipper Haley Matthews (41) and Kaycia Knights (32) seeing their team home, Matthews ending the contest with a boundary.
Earlier, after a 64-run third wicket stand between Skipper Afy Fletcher (31) and Zaida James (22) the Windwards failed to reach 100 as Sharika Bruce (3-13) helped the Bajans to 12 points with their third consecutive win.
T&T and the Leewards were set to play each other last night in the final game of the day.
The tournament continues tomorrow with another triple header.
