Kaieteur Newss – New year, new beginnings.
Bitter sweet cold air.
The sun peaking through the gloomy clouds.
Your scarf around my neck.
The way your hands fit perfectly into mine.
I snuggled against your neck and watched the
trees sway away.
The harsh wind in Connecticut pushes me off
the pavement and onto the moist grass.
I caught a glimpse of your hazel eyes staring at me.
Your hands shakily grasp my waist as you smirk
and pull me in closer to you.
You gently brush the tiny strands of hair away from my face.
Time stood still. Your glistening eyes wandered into mine.
The floor beneath me ceased to exist. You softly press your lips
against mine, and the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
The warmth of your skin, the taste of vanilla beans dancing on
your tongue.
You heaved a euphoric sigh.
There’s magical symphony in the air.
