Public explanation needed from GT&T

Dear Editor,

I am puzzled by a “handed-down” Decision by GT&T and have tried to obtain, in vain, from GT&T, a rational explanation for the following situation.
Over more than five years, I have been paying my GT&T bills by cheque.
The payments include three components: my Internet service (recently Blaze), my land-line service and the “top up” of the credit for my cell/mobile phone.
On seeking to pay my current bill on Thursday 7 February 2019, I was told that I am not allowed to pay for the “top up” of my cell/mobile phone with my usual Cheque. Instead, I have to pay cash for the “top up”.
There was no question about the credit worthiness of my cheque. So what is the problem for GT&T?
On enquiring why this is so I was told that only vendors are allowed to purchase credit by cheque.
Editor, this defies common sense and the objectives of a “cash less” society.
In the circumstances, I would be grateful if GT&T could provide a rational public explanation for this decision.
In addition, GT&T provides customers/subscribers to Blaze with a new 500 telephone number. However, no bill is provided to customers for this service. On each occasion the customer is asked” what service have you requested?”
Why are customers/ subscribers not “billed” for this service?
