Day eight of the 3rd Annual East Bank Football Association (EBFA) / Ralph Green sponsored Under-11 League being played at the Diamond Community Center Ground saw the top four teams recording wins to maintain their respective positions.

Rivalry in yesterday’s match between Agricola Red Triangle and Diamond Upsetters at the Diamond Community Center Ground.
Grove Hi Tech took care of business against Kuru Kururu Warriors 4-0, Agricola Red Triangle trounced Diamond Upsetters 5-0, Swan FC edged Mocha Champs in a thrilling 3-2 clash, while Timehri Panthers were triumphant by a 4-0 margin against Diamond United.
Herstelling Raiders pocketed full points via the walk over route as a result of Hauraruni’s failure to show up, while Friendship All Stars and Samatta Point/Kaneville played to a 0-0 stalemate.
Grove cantered to their win on the back of a double from Jevon Pluck who scored in the 5th and 22nd minutes. There was one each for Jamal Cordis in the 2nd minute and Joshua Fredericks in the 9th minute.
Defending champions Agricola who have been keeping an eye on leaders Grove secured their sixth win in seven matches thanks in part to Captain Jonathan Andries who netted a brace in the 9th and 29th minutes.
He was supported by Mekel Morris (16th) and Brandon Narine who found the back of the nets in the 28th minute. Agricola’s opening goal in the 8th minute was an own goal that came from Safaraz Russell.
Swan almost squandered a 3-0 half time scoreline as they narrowly staved off a spirited second half rally from Mocha Champs to earn full points, 3-2. Anderson Webber in the 3rd minute, Valintino Andrews (10th) and an own goal off the boot of Jihean Lewis saw Swan going into the break comfortably placed.
However, the second half saw Mocha Champs in a blazing mood as they fired in two unanswered goals from Matthew Forte in the 22nd minute and Lewis who redeemed himself in the 28th minute.
But even as Mocha were in a dominant mood, time was against them and the final whistle came with the score 3-2 in favour of Swan which recorded their sixth win which also kept their unbeaten record intact similarly to Agricola and Grove.
A hat-trick off the boot of Omar Sam in the 7th, 12th and 29th minutes guided Timehri past Diamond United, 4-0; the other goal was scored by Jaden Ceres in the 19th minute.
Matches will continue on Saturday at the same venue.
