Cycling action returns to Berbice today when the Flying Ace Cycle Club (FACC) in collaboration with a number of businesses and former members stages a Pre father’s day 40 miles cycle road race along the Corentyne Coast. The event is for club cyclists only.
The race will pedal off from the junction of Main and Alexander Street in New Amsterdam; proceed along the Corentyne Coast to Adventure Police Station before returning to finish at its place of origin.
Prizes will be available for the first five finishers, the first two veterans over 60 along with other outstanding performers. There will be eight sprint point prizes up for grabs.
Among sponsors on board are Fix It Electronics Store and the Gadget World and Rental Store.
The coordinator is Randolph Roberts. The FACC, which was founded by Roberts, is the leading cycling club in Berbice and one of the top clubs in the Country and organises almost all the cycling events in Berbice.
