All was set for yesterday’s opening leg of the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee Triple Crown Horseracing Championships at the Rising Sun Turf Club, but the adverse weather conditions left the racetrack in a terrible state forcing the organisers to postpone the day’s proceedings.
Most of the top racehorses in the country were listed to compete and an exciting day of top class horseracing was anticipated, but fans will have to wait a bit longer. The organisers are set to meet and to come up with another date shortly. The other race dates were set for April 1st at Port Mourant and April 29th again at Rising Sun Turf Club. However, following whatever meeting is held the organisers will determine if additional changes will be made to the series.
Over $20million in cash prizes are up for grabs in the three-day event.
