A 25-year-old man who recently escaped from the Golden Grove Police Station by smashing out some concrete blocks that are located near the washroom, was yesterday charged with the capital offence of murder.
Wayne Gilbert, of Lot 30 West La Penitence appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts and was not required to plead to the charge which alleged that on January 20, last, at Croal Street, he murdered Rawle Rodrigues, during the course of a robbery.
