Den Amstel continued their winning ways when they edged Eagles FC 2-1 in the lone match that was played as competition in the GFF/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Intra Association Under-17 League continued at the Den Amstel Community Center ground Sunday last.
The match was virtually decided in the first 20 minutes of the encounter as three goals were scored, Den Amstel netting twice while Eagles responded once.
The home team went ahead in the 4th minute when Kevin Abrams scored, that advantage was increased in the 14th minute on account of Reuben Dainty’s strike. Four minutes later, Eagles were able to reduce the deficit through Dellon Clarke’s goal.
Thereafter, both teams tried their best to find the back of the nets but that was not to be as Den Amstel held on to their one goal advantage which saw them securing full points from the match.
