The police are trying to locate a Barr Street, Kitty businessman who turned up at the home of a Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) employee and tried to force him into a car, bearing registration number PPP 9928, yesterday afternoon.
Luckily, the man’s neighbours came to his rescue. The matter was reported to the Kitty Police Station.
It is unclear what the businessman’s intentions were but a police source confirmed that the matter was reported.
According to information received, last Tuesday, two GWI’s employees went to the home of the businessman to carry out an inspection.
The businessman allegedly came out of his house with a firearm, causing the two employees to run for their lives.
It did not stop there. When one of the GWI employees went home from work yesterday afternoon, he noticed the businessman was parked in front of his home, waiting on him.
The man approached him and tried to force the GWI employee into his car but thankfully, he was rescued by neighbours.
The matter is under investigation.
