Four invited Primary schools of New Amsterdam will compete in an Invitational football Tournament as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Guyana. The 3-day Tournament will have trophies and prizes at stake and all four teams will be outfitted, compliments of the New Amsterdam Primary and Secondary Schools Sports (NAPS) in collaboration with team AFRICARI and co-workers of Oakland, California, a release stated.
Former national youth and senior footballer, Roger Alphonso whose brainchild it was that established NAPS in 2009 will be here along with other members of team AFRICARI during the Tournament which will be played between June 1st and 3rd.
The venue for the games is the Scotts school ground in New Amsterdam and the invited teams that will be participating are; Fort Ordinance Primary, All Saints Primary, St. Theresa’s Primary and St. Aloysius Primary.
