I have not received NIS benefits in three months
Dear Editor,
As a recipient of N.I.S. benefit, I have not received payment for the past three months and when this will be made possible still remains unknown, much to my suffering and inconvenience.
No less than 12 visits during this period were made by me to get my payment vouchers at the Anna Regina office where it was just useless with six hundred dollars ($600.00) per a return trip being wasted by going down the drain.
The office keeps telling me that the vouchers have not yet been processed and until such time that this was done, payment would not be made, with the advice to keep checking, I cannot afford to do any longer due to financial constraints.
My wife is very sickly and bed ridden with this money being my only source of survival and to alleviate my predicament.
