BCB appoints executives and committees Somwaru, Percival to head senior and Junior selection panels

The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday last at their first meeting appointed the executive members of the Board and selected the various committees to serve for this term. Despite not voting for Beharry at a heated BCB elections held at the BCB’s New Amsterdam office, Moore was reappointed Chairman of the Competitions Committee while the former National youth and senior team manager is also on three other committees.
Former West Indies Under-19 Captain and ex-Guyana First-Class left-handed batsman Andre Percival heads the Junior selection panel with First-Class Umpire Dhirendranauth Somwaru serving as Chairman of the County’s senior selection panel, while former Guyana batsman Hubern Evans, Albert Smith, Julian Cambridge, Rabindranauth Saywack, Malcolm Peters, Imtiaz Bacchus and Keith Foster were appointed Executives of the BCB.

Selection (Junior): Leslie Solomon (Chairman), Andre Percival, Moses Samlall, Julian Moore, Michael Ramdeen, Junior Blair
Cricket Development: Veemen Walters (Chairman), Zaheer Moakhan, Shabeer Baksh, Ishwar Singh, Orvin Mangru, Carl Moore, Albert Smith, Rep from UCCA
Public Relations: Rajiv Bisnauth (Chairman), Anil Beharry, Carl Moore, Angela Haniff, Plaffiana Milington
Marketing/Finance: Anil Beharry (Chairman), Vicky Bharosay, Imran Saccoor, Dr. Vishwa Mahadeo, Ricardo Bachan, Qualis Winter, Ishwar Singh, Carl Moore, Hubern Evans, Sahadeo Singh
Disciplinary Committee: Dhirendranauth Somwaru, Julian Cambridge, Budhnarine Persaud, Rohan Chandan,Vemen Walters
The monthly meeting is fixed for the second Sunday of every month with the OGM on the last Sunday of March, June and September.
