-Guyana sweeps U-20, Open 400m races
Double CARIFTA Games medallist, Linden’s Cassy George continued her regional dominance at the Hampton International Games at the Hasley Crawford Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago when she won the Under-17 Girls’ 1500m.
George ran yet another impressive time to win the event in 4:46.5. CARIFTA Games 400m bronze medallist, Jason Yaw also impressed with a 47.69 seconds run to capture the Under-20 Boys 400m at the Games.
South American Junior bronze medallist and leading local quarter-miler, Stephon James continued his ascendancy with a 47.05 seconds race to win the Open 400m race.
CARIFTA 200m U-17 bronze medallist, Tirana Mitchell won the U-17 100m race at Hampton Games in 12.04 seconds. Onasha Rogers continued the excellent showing for the Guyanese at the event with 12.4 seconds to finish second the Girls U-15 100m race.
