In another hapless display, Marcia Craig’s Educational Institute suffered another heavy defeat this time at the hands of Linden Technical Institute (LTI) who hammered them 11-0 as play in this year’s Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Schools Football Competition continued on Tuesday in Linden.
Leading the way for LTI was Colwyn David, who booted in four goals in the 25th, 26th, 31st and 52nd minutes, while additional support was received from Clarence Huggins (14th), Denzil Ward (32nd and 58th), Nashawn Hazel (36th), Ravin Gibbons (41st), Clinton Anthony (own goal) and Andrew Breedy (53rd).
In the second game, Mackenzie High School eased to a comfortable 2-0 win over Wisburg Secondary with Dominique Babb (15th) and Larnell Turner (19th), being the goalscorers.
The tournament continues today with two more matches at the Wisburg Secondary School ground.
In the first game, Linden Foundation Secondary takes on New Silver City, while in the other match, Christianburg / Wismar engages Harmony.
Teams will be battling to position themselves to make it to the semi-finals scheduled to be played on April 17.
