GFA / President Beer League continues today with triple-header
Play in the President Beer League organised by the Georgetown Football Association continues today with a triple header at the GFC ground, starting from 16:00 hrs.
In the opening game, Black Pearl takes on Beacons and that will be followed by the clash between Fruta Conquerors versus Santos at 18:00 hrs, while the GDF and Riddim Squad collide at 20:00 hrs.
Meanwhile, in results of matches played recently, Flamingo defeated Charlestown United 5-1 with Quason Fanfair (20, 33), Shem Porter (52, 53) and Dwayne Layne (55), being the men on target. Rocky Gravesande (54) made the lone response for the losers.
GDF then beat Police 4-0 with Hephon Dolphin (28,48), Delwyn Fraser (5) and Sherwin Caesar (10), the goalscorers.
Santos beat Riddim Squad 1-0 with William Europe (68), the lone scorer.
Houston Stars edged GFC 2-1 with Eion Hunter (11) and Jermaine Gilbert (50), the men on target, while Sherwin Pinder (90) hit the consolation strike for GFC.
