serve as a co-opted Executive Committee Member of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB).
According to the GCB, when approached, Lloyd, who led the West Indies two titles in three consecutive World Cup finals, readily agreed to serve as an Executive Member.
“We are grateful to have him on board since his invaluable knowledge and experience will contribute tremendously to our developmental plans,” the GCB informed.
Lloyd, who played 110 Tests and 87 ODIs and has 19 Test tons to his name, currently chairs the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Cricket Committee and is also a Director of the West Indies Cricket Board.
The (GCB), headed by new West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Director Ramsay Ali, informed that it will continue to seek out resource persons to contribute to and develop a five-year developmental plan that seeks to return our cricket to its glory days.
Lloyd, whose name has been attached to the winning trophy for the Regional Super 50 competition, is in Guyana for the tournament.
