With a few days remaining before the Super one-day Jumbo Horse race meet organised by Jumbo Jet Auto Sales and Racing Stables in collaboration with the Rising Sun Turf Club set to come off, Corporate Guyana have been lending invaluable support to this mega event.
The venue is the Rising Sun Turf Club, Arima Park West Coast Berbice this Sunday. Pacesetters, Banks DIH Limited has come on board in a big way and will sponsor the feature C class event. The 1600M event will see the winner taking home 1.2M and the Banks DIH Guyana Cup trophy along with bragging rights. Jumbo Jet Connections will stay loyal and sponsor The Zenyatta’s Memorial co feature 3 year old event for horses bred and born in Guyana and the West Indies. An attractive $1M is at stake for the winner over the 1600M contest.
The E class and lower 1400 event will also be sponsored by Jumbo Jet Auto Sales with a top prize of $600,000 and trophy over 1100 meters.The two races for Two Year olds along with the other events will be run over 1100 meters. Jumbo Jet Connections is the sponsor of both Two Year old events with the first being for West Indies bred horses and a top prize of $800,000 and trophy.
The second event will for Guyana bred horses with a first place cash prize of $400,000 and trophy.Telephone giants Digicel continues to etch their name in the Horse Racing circle with sponsorship of the G & Lower race where the top jockey will cart off $400,000 and trophy The H& Lower stakes has been put aside by Imperial Manufacturers & Dependable Spares with the top horse guaranteed winnings of $300,000annd trophy.
Yellow Mining takes charge of the ‘I’ and Lower event with the winnings being tagged at $200,000. The
$150,000 along with other stakes including trophy for the winner of the ‘I’ & Lower event for horses with one win and lower is sponsored by Two Brothers Guyana Limited.
Innovative has assured runners in the Division 1&2 category of their winnings with sponsorship. The winner is set to run off with $100.000.
Added attractions will be at part of the day’s proceedings including games for adults and children. The top Jockey a along with the runner up, top stable and champion trainer will all be presented with accolades compliments of Ramesh Sunich of The Trophy Stall of Bourda Market.
Slingerz and Black Widow Power Sounds will be keeping fans occupied throughout the day’s proceedings. The event will be run under the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority.
