Enmore family to host Independence Day fund raising cricket match
The Enmore Community Centre will come alive on Independence Day, Wednesday, May 26 when the Kool Runnings Family of that village hosts a six-a-side, five-over softball cricket match to raise funds to facilitate the overseas surgery for a child who has recently incurred a dislocated spine.
The action gets underway at 09:30hrs and participating teams are asked to donate a minimal entrance fee of $3,000 each. The champion side will receive a ram sheep and a trophy while the runners up will win a trophy plus a refund of their entrance fee.
There will also be trophies for the best batsman in the final, best bowler in the final, and the best dressed team in the competition.
The on-field action will be complemented by music and entertainment beyond the boundary by Immaculate Sound and Light Fiyah Tassa Crew.
