Hinckson’s ton spurs DCC to victory against UG

A classy 103 from Jamal Hinckson spearheaded DCC to a 79-run victory against the University of Guyana (UG) at the DCC ground in latest action in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Haier Cup 2nd division 40-overs cricket competition.
The right-handed Hinckson smashed six fours and 10 sixes and got support from Matthew Marques (39) and Alfred Mentore (23) as DCC were dismissed for 235 in 39.2 overs.
Marques returned to take 4-32 with his impressive medium pace as the students fell for 156 in 27.5 overs despite a fighting 33 from left-hander Richard Chaturia and 25 from Deon Rotson.
Dexter George supported Marques with 3-19 while Kester Harcourt took 2-34 for the Queenstown side.
Chaturia had 3-35 while Elton Fortune (2-40) and Skipper Delon Seepersaud (2-29) supported with the ball for UG.
