National Novices Amateur Boxing championships set for this weekend
Action in the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association National Novices and Amateur Championships will take place from Friday to Sunday at the National Gymnasium.
Keen competition is expected with the country’s leading amateur boxers on show as they seek national honours. Gyms from across the country will be represented with the bulk of fighters coming from Forgotten Youth, Harpy Eagles, Andrew Sixhead Lewis, GDF, Police and Pocket Rocket gyms among others.
Fans are encouraged to come out and support the young fighters. Several of the leading performers will strengthen their prospects to represent Guyana at upcoming overseas events.
