A night of crowns, culture & celebration: Miss, Mrs., Teen & Mr. India Guyana 2026 coronation
(Kaieteur News) – The stage was set, the crowns were ready, and the excitement was palpable as Guyana witnessed the successful conclusion of the Miss, Mrs., Teen & Mr. India Guyana 2026 Grand Coronation — a beautiful evening celebrating culture, confidence, purpose, talent and excellence.

The spectacular event, held on Sunday, August 9 at the Ramada Princess Hotel, brought together glamour, elegance, talent and intelligence as delegates competed for a chance at the crown. It was an unforgettable night that marked the beginning of a new chapter for four remarkable titleholders.

Following an exciting journey of preparation, personal growth and competition, the new reigning titleholders were crowned:
- Miss India Guyana 2026 – Dharmini Meghoo
- Mrs. India Guyana 2026 – Romona Singh
- Miss Teen India Guyana 2026 – Janvi Mohanlall
- Mr. India Guyana 2026 – Mohamed Ali Khan
Each winner now carries not only a prestigious title, but also the responsibility of becoming an ambassador for Guyana, its rich Indo-Guyanese heritage, and the values of leadership, service and empowerment that the organisation represents.

Celebrating women of substance & excellence
One of the most memorable highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Maharani Award 2026 – Woman of Substance Award to Guyana’s own Sophia Dolphin.
The prestigious recognition celebrated her remarkable contribution, strength, character and impact, honouring her as a true woman of substance whose journey continues to inspire others.

Another special moment of the evening was the presentation of the Icon of Excellence Award to Mrs. Alicia Bess Anderson, recognising her outstanding contribution, dedication and excellence within the pageantry and personal development space.
The awards added a powerful dimension to the evening, reminding everyone that the celebration of a crown extends far beyond beauty — it is about recognising individuals who use their influence, achievements and experiences to inspire and uplift others.

A celebration of dance & culture
The evening was further elevated by an exceptional performance from the Ishara Dance Troupe, led by the talented brother-and-sister duo Kumar and Shivanie Latchman.
Their captivating performance brought energy, grace and cultural richness to the stage, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained and adding another unforgettable artistic element to an already spectacular celebration.

From Guyana to the world
With the coronation now complete, the journey for the newly crowned Miss, Mrs. and Teen India Guyana 2026 continues on an international stage.
Dharmini Meghoo, Romona Singh and Janvi Mohanlall will proudly prepare to represent Guyana at the Miss, Mrs. & Teen India Worldwide Pageant, taking place in September 2026 in Trinidad and Tobago.
As they step onto the international stage, they will carry with them more than their crowns — they will carry the hopes, pride and support of Guyana, representing the country with grace, confidence and purpose.
The 2026 Coronation was more than an evening of crowns and titles. It was a celebration of dreams realised, women and men empowered, culture embraced, and new journeys beginning.
As the lights of the coronation stage fade, a new chapter begins — and Guyana’s newest ambassadors are ready to make their mark.
