Murdered Berbice taxi driver died from multiple stab wounds, lung failure – autopsy
Kaieteur Sports – A post-mortem examination performed on the body of Oswain Lawson, of Lot 46 Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, showed that the father of two died from multiple incised stab wounds which resulted in hemorrhaging and a collapse of his lungs.
The post-mortem was done by government pathologist, Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan on Wednesday, a day after the taxi driver lost his life.

He was identified by his cousin, Junior Lindslay Marks, 47, and the process was witnessed by the police.
The body was subsequently handed over to relatives for burial.
According to information reaching this publication, Lawson was sporting at a corner shop with some of his associates on Monday evening at Edinburgh Village, East Bank Berbice. Hours later, he was wounded allegedly by a male individual, and sought to flee the location. In the process, his vehicle crashed into a roadside stall and ended up in a trench along the said public road.
Lawson’s body was removed from his car, and multiple gapping stab/chop wounds were observed on him.
Police in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) confirmed the arrest of a 21-year-old male suspect, a contractor of Edinburgh Village, East Bank Berbice, as investigations continue.
Persons familiar with the incident told this publication that Lawson was stabbed while he was seated in his car.
