Kaieteur Sports – Six teams will be featuring at this year’s annual Reliance Hustlers Sports Club Easter Sunday T10 Blast at Reliance Sports ground, Essequibo Coast, Region 2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
The action is slated to commence at 10:00 am with the one semi-final and final to be played under-lights using pink balls.
The day’s event is proudly sponsored by Guyana Breweries under the 592 brand (Beer).
It will be a knockout competition with the winning team set to collect a trophy and $150,000 while the runners-up side taking home a trophy and $75,000.
A trophy will be given to player-of-the-match in every game while MVP in the championship fixture will pocket cash incentive along with a trophy.
The participating teams are: Reliance Hustlers Sports Club, Renegades North, Rising Stars, Renegades South, Evolution and Young Achievers.
Organizer of the event Trevis Simon stated that he is ‘excited’ to run off another edition (6) of this Easter Festival cricket one-day tournament.
He expressed his appreciation to the teams in anticipation for their continued participation and echoed similar sentiments to Guyana Breweries (592) for their commitment again.
Simon, who is also the Captain of the hosts, informed that Barbecue will be on sale for $1800 and music entertainment will be provided by DJ Vick in collaboration with Hustlers Sounds.
Additionally, there will be live ball-by-ball commentary.
Simon mentioned funds raised will go towards the club’s academy and also for Hustlers’ forthcoming tour of Trinidad and Tobago in May.
