(Kaieteur News) – A 52-year-old businesswoman identified as Nadira Persaud called “Nanda”, was on Tuesday fined $10,000 for setting unmuzzled ferocious dog to be at large.
According to police, Persaud who hails from Helena #1 Mahaica Village, East Coast Demerara, was arrested last year “on September 29, 2025, in relation to the offence committed on Melissa Ann Bynoe at Helena #1 Mahaica Village, East Coast Demerara, which occurred on September 13, 2025.”
She pleaded guilty when she appeared at the Mahaicony Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate A. Wilson, before she was fined G$10,000.
