Kaieteur Sports – The stage is set for the National Round of 8 Playoffs of the Beharry Group of Companies Schools U-19 T-20 Tournament, as eight schools do battle in this final round of action.
This Sunday, 9 August 2026, eight of the country’s top school teams will battle for supremacy at the Queen’s College Ground, with matches being played simultaneously on Pitch 1 and Pitch 2.
The action begins with the Opening March Pass at 10:00 AM, followed by the first round of matches at 10:30h.
Pitch 1: Essequibo Islands Secondary face off against Queen’s College while West Side High battle the lads from St. Stanislaus College in the final game which gets underway from 14:00 PM
Pitch 2: Abram Zuil Secondary tackle Covent Garden Secondary while Berbice Educational Institute will play Annandale Secondary 14:00h
The competition is getting tougher, the stakes are higher, and every performance counts as the journey towards the championship continues.
Organisers are asking for fans to continue their support for the young cricketers as they showcase their talent on the national stage.
