BCB/Anil Lalsa 2nd Division tournament…
Kaieteur Sports – Rose Hall Canje Team ‘B’ qualified for the finals of the Canje Zone Anil Lalsa 2nd Division tournament following a 71-run trouncing of the Canje Titans, thanks to a string of half-centuries from a few of their key players.
Rose Hall Canje ‘B’ racked up an imposing 261- 6 in 30 overs after Richard Ramdeholl clobbered 68 off 60 with seven fours.
Former national youth batsman and club coach Seon Hetmyer, rolled back the clock with a classy 57 (3×4,1×6), while his son Adrian Hetmyer, who scored 83* to guide Rose Hall Canje to the U-17 BCB Quality Delivery Under-17 title, scored a brisk 58 off 24 balls with two fours and five sixes.
A blitz from Sasenarine Sukhu 20 who punched 20 off 7 (1×4, 2×6) added to the team’s final score.
Canje Titans in reply could only muster 190 all out in 27.2 overs despite resistance from L. Ishmael who scored 65 off 43 (7×4, 3×6), as the rest of the team was negated by Sanjay Algoo (4-31) who led Rose Hall’s bowling.
