(Kaieteur News) – Major Hawaiian property developers, Giovanni and Nicola Mola of Coastal Rim Properties (CRP) have launched TAJ Dream Ogle in partnership with NBA Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon.
CRP with a portfolio spanning over 6,000 homes and millions of square feet of commercial space across the United States, plans to deliver over 1,000 condominium units and a retail village to Guyana’s rapidly expanding Ogle corridor through a master-planned luxury condominium and lifestyle village. This project will be CRP’s second development in Guyana, the first being TAJ Diamond with 218 homes.
The developers said in a press release that the TAJ Dream Ogle project sets a new benchmark for international-quality residential living in Guyana while intentionally creating structured opportunities for Guyanese at home and abroad to participate in the country’s economic expansion.
“At the heart of the project will be a five-star, world-class hotel, poised to become the first fully integrated luxury hospitality experience of its kind in Guyana, alongside a dedicated five-star hotel training institute designed to support hospitality education, workforce development, and operational excellence,” the company said.
Notably, every residential condominium will include at least one secure, covered garage parking stall, reinforcing safety, convenience, and international living standards throughout the community. There will be a fully walkable mixed-use village featuring a central town square, curated restaurants and cafés, retail boutiques, medical services, entertainment offerings, landscaped walking parks, and modern public spaces.
CRP said the development will be constructed using U.S.-manufactured and climate-treated structural steel specifically selected to withstand Guyana’s salty and humid coastal environment.
Further, it was outlined that the entire site will be elevated by eight feet above the existing grade to mitigate flooding risk, supported by advanced drainage infrastructure and integrated civil engineering systems. The company said, “The design reflects a forward-thinking, climate-resilient approach aligned with Guyana’s long-term sustainable development objectives.”
TAJ Dream Ogle plans to prioritise the participation of local contractors, suppliers, engineers, and professional service firms. The development is expected to generate thousands of construction jobs during its build phase and approximately 800 permanent jobs upon completion, supported by structured training programmes tied to hotel and retail operations to ensure skills transfer and long-term employment opportunities for Guyanese citizens.
“TAJ Dream Ogle stands as a transformational step in Guyana’s modern development, combining international construction standards, hospitality excellence, local content integration, climate-resilient engineering, and inclusive economic growth into a single landmark community designed for the next generation of Guyanese prosperity,” the company said.
