Bulletproof vest, police gear found in Tapakuma home
The items that were found during the police search.(Kaieteur News) – Police in Regional Division #2 conducted an operation on Monday, at a residence in Tapakuma, Essequibo Coast, as part of an ongoing investigation during a bulletproof vest and other police gear were found.
In a press release police the search was carried out between 11:15 hrs and 11:45 hrs. During the operation, ranks discovered a black bulletproof vest, a pair of handcuffs, a pair of foot shackles, and a metal cap badge belonging to the Guyana Police Force. A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the location and taken into police custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
No charges have yet been laid.
